A perfect day in the Barossa with team Small Batch A perfect day in the Barossa with team Small Batch out in full force, with all guests choosing personalised private wine tours. One couple was on their honeymoon, so we had them lapping up the sunshine in scenic and laid back locations. Another couple was on a mission to find and send back Australia's best Shiraz. A little bit of last minute tweaking had them grinning from ear to ear when they ended up at a hidden gem boutique winery with more perfect 100-point wine scores than any other winery in Australia. Our larger group of six wanted an engaging day learning the history of the region, and tasting wines from big names along with smaller family-owned wineries they could find back home. No matter your persuasions or preferences, our team of serious wine professionals are well equipped to make the most of any given situation, leaving all our guests with a uniquely personalised tour experience. "K" for the Barossa subregion of Krondorf and the "K" for the Barossa subregion of Krondorf and the black cracking clays that make this hamlet unique. What was once an ancient silty lake-bed now grows some of the most tannic and 'meaty' red wines in the Barossa. A combination of highly fertile nutrient rich soils and the stressed root systems being ripped apart by this cracking soil, affects the unique character of the grapes grown in this region.
